After School Club Leader

Job Introduction

We are looking for someone reliable, friendly and committed to join our team. As after-school leader, you will need to undertake activities inside and outside, create a safe, welcoming and friendly environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be someone who cares for the children and enjoys seeing them have fun
  • Be creative and can come up with ideas for activities for the children to engage in.
  • Have good behaviour management skills
  • Have a caring, patient approach towards children
  • Have a positive approach that supports the schools’ visions and values
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with children and adults
  • Be a team player with a professional attitude
  • Is able to use their own initiative
  • Enjoys working with the 4-11 age group 

Duties include

  • Setting up and clearing up the After School Club provision
  • Support a weekly programme of activities
  • Supporting the children in a wide variety of active games and quieter small group activities, including board games, construction, arts and crafts and indoor and outdoor sporting activities
  • Attend to children’s health and well-being needs as necessary
  • Following procedures to dismiss children to their carer at the end of the session
  • Complete relevant paperwork in line with the role and responsibilities
  • First Aid

Hours: 8hours 40mins per (8.67) week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)

Work Pattern: Monday – Thursday 3.10pm – 5.20pm

Salary: Grade C hourly rate between £12.65 and £13.18 (depending on experience)

Federation Caretaker

Job Introduction

The Federation of Broughton and West Tytherley Primary Schools consists of two village primary schools based in the Test Valley.  We have a super opportunity for someone to join our team as a Caretaker. The role is school-based, so you would be in a child-centred environment.

Are you responsible, enthusiastic, reliable and proactive and take pride in your working environment? Do you enjoy all aspects of DIY and grounds maintenance? If so, then we need you!

 

Duties will include: 

  • Keyholder (unlocking and locking the site) including attending call-outs.
  • Ensuring the school site is tidy and safe
  • Undertake redecoration and routine maintenance
  • Carry out essential Health and Safety checks, e.g. fire checks, legionella.
  • Using basic IT skills and ability to access email
  • Liaising with outside organisations for repairs

The ideal candidate will:

  • Enjoy being around children
  • Good DIY skills
  • Have the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Good communication skills.
  • Work professionally with interruptions, maintaining health and safety at all times.
  • Knowledge of site health and safety.
  • Be able to use computer-based platforms (although training can be provided)
