Welcome to West Tytherley C.E. (Controlled) Primary School.

We teach the children to follow a Christian way of life, to care for and help each other, to appreciate all helpers, to be proud of what they do and to be polite, truthful and honest.

West Tytherley is a school with a happy family atmosphere and you can see this from the children’s cheerful and friendly manner and their high standard of behaviour. Although your child is one of many in the school, we do try our very best to recognise each child as an individual and to give their needs special attention. We offer a wide variety of opportunities to the children, including out of school clubs, links with the community, sporting and cultural links, day and residential visits to places of interest.

We want the children to enjoy their time with us thereby ensuring that it will be a purposeful period. It is important the children know that school and homework is a partnership, staff and parents work together for their good.

Our door is always open to you to discuss your child’s progress or any problem you may feel we can help you with. It would, however, be appreciated if you could make an appointment when you wish to see a staff member as they do have a teaching commitment to their class.

We hope that the time you and your child spend with us will be a happy and satisfying one. We aim to create and provide your child with a stable and caring environment and we hope you will take the opportunities we offer to strengthen links between home and school.

We look forward to having your child in our school and we can assure you that he/she will be very special to us too. By working in partnership we help our children meet the challenges ahead and successfully prepare them for their secondary education and beyond.
